**The GIVP is not being held for the 2007-2008 year. However, the following is how the program has been run in the past.

The Girls Inc.® of Jackson County Volleyball Program (GIVP) is competitive club volleyball for girls in grades 7 through 11. The league is committed to giving expert instruction to junior high and high school age volleyball players in the surrounding 5 counties. The league structure is traveling competition, on a monthly basis, and weekly practices with appointed teams and coaches. Playing sports may contribute to enhancing self-esteem, responsibility, cooperation, and confidence.

The length of the season varies from team to team within the club. Tryouts begin in November. The season length will vary, but most teams will complete competition by spring break.

Call Sara J. Clark at 812-522-2798 between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. for more information.

The Girls Inc. of Jackson County instructional volleyball program allows players to practice their volleyball skills with less time and cost commitment than the competitive teams. The program is open to all Jackson County girls, grades 3 through 6.

Time and Dates: We will meet every Sunday beginning with the frist Sunday in January and continuing for 10 weeks.
Program Structure: We will concentrate on basic volleyball skill instruction and drills. There will be an intersquad scrimmage option one Sunday each month.

Goal: To see improvement on the execution of basic volleyball skills, develop teamwork, communication, health awareness, etc.
